Micheal is the head of his powerful Kochi family, commanding dread and respect as a result of his eerie history. When a few younger members of the household get irritated by his dominance over their lives, the band up with enemies to put a stop to him. Many members of the Bheeshma Parvam crew revealed before the film’s release that it is a family drama with aspects from Mahabharatha, The Godfather, and more for the audience to enjoy. What you’ll find in the theatres is a fun plot with aspects from all of them, well-crafted to cater to a younger audience and spiced up with some raunchy music.
Micheal’s (Mammootty) family is made up of people with a variety of personalities, from those who fear him to those who admire him for what he has done for the family. And, just as his dreadful past and power have gained him plenty of foes inside, his dreadful past and power have earned him plenty of foes outside as well.
A group of them eventually join hands to drag him down and live their lives as they like. How successful is their strategy?
The film is careful to keep its pace steady and compelling from the start, even while it naturally introduces the individuals, their origins, their role in the family tree, and more. Mammootty delights as the indestructible hero with his towering presence, body language, punch lines, stunts, and more, providing ample enthralling moments for those seeking pleasure.
Shine Tom Chacko, Sudev Nair, and Soubin are also excellent in their parts. The story’s approach has assured that the female characters are treated with respect, and special attention to being politically correct is clear and admirable. The sights were shot with zeal by Anend C Chandran’s lens, and the stunt choreography was extremely thrilling for a genre film.
Sushin Shyam’s music merits special note for how it lifts the mood of the film, even though the lines are drowned in the thumping effect at times. Many people become nostalgic when they watch Nedumudi Venu and KPAC Lalitha on film, presumably playing characters they haven’t played before.
