Clean Hindi Web Series Story:
Sabah (Amrita Puri) is happy with her husband Aamir (Nishank Verma) and son Nimoh (You Pandya) till her younger sister Meher (Aisha Ahmed) returns from her trip abroad. The crux of this short is why Sabah isn’t keen about Meher staying with them and how the sisters deal with her insecurities.
Clean Hindi Web Series Review:
As the time for Meher’s arrival approaches, Sabah becomes agitated and apprehensive at the prospect of past events that led to her sister’s long absence. Even after their father (Somesh Agarwal) returns Ayesha home, it’s clear that the two sisters have drifted apart for some reason in the past, and the gap appears to be insurmountable.
The story picks up speed when Nimoh develops an allergic reaction to nuts in the chocolates Meher brought him, and he is hurried to the hospital. That’s where the sisters open up about their concerns, reservations, and insecurities.
Writer-director Zoya Parvin has created an intriguing drama about siblings that most people would readily identify with. She also mentions mental health but doesn’t go into great detail about it, instead of focusing on why the sisters Sabah and Meher share a complicated equation and how they overcome it. Anurag Kashyap maintains the sentences basic and honest, as though they were spoken by brothers and their families in similar situations.
In her depiction of Sabah, Amrita Puri gives a real performance as the older sibling who always took responsibility for the family and cleaned up any mistake that any of them made. Aisha is convincing as Meher, a guilt-ridden woman who is remorseful for her previous misdeeds and wants to clear up any doubts her elder sister may have. As the girls’ Abbu, Nishank Verma, Yug Pandya, and Somesh Agarwal perform admirably.
Clean is a good watch since it tells a bittersweet story about two sisters that will appeal to the majority of viewers.
