Dwayne Johnson Clarifies That He Isn’t Involved In Fast and Furious 10, Claiming That Vin Diesel’s Post Was An Example Of ‘Manipulation’
Diesel recently reached out to The Rock on Instagram, inviting him to reprise his role.
Vin Diesel’s wish to return to the action franchise for Fast and Furious 10 was rebuffed by Dwayne Johnson. For the uninitiated, Diesel invited The Rock to reprise his role as secret agent Lucas Hobbs in the next installment of the film series through Instagram. This happened after the two stars’ famed quarrel, which has lasted for years.
In 2016, the feud was made public. Dwayne Johnson called several of his male co-stars “sugar a**es” and stated how they don’t handle themselves as professionals and stand-up guys in a since-deleted social media post. The message was eventually found to be intended for Vin.
Dwayne Johnson quit the Fast and Furious franchise and took over the Hobbs & Shaw chronology after a series of ups and downs. Now, the actor has responded to Vin Diesel’s invitation to return to the franchise. “I told (Diesel) personally that I would not be returning to the series,” The Rock revealed in an interview with CNN.

Fast and Furious 10 – Dwayne Johnson said,
“I was strong but gracious with my remarks and emphasized that I would always be supportive of the cast and always root for the franchise to succeed, but there was no possibility I would return.” He went on to say how Vin Diesel’s post was deceptive. He said that “Vin’s recent public post was an example of his manipulation.”
“I didn’t like that he brought up his children in the article, as well as Paul Walker’s death,” Dwayne added. Leave them out of the equation. We had discussed this for months and had come to an agreement.” Several Fast & Furious fans were irritated by the suggestion.
They weren’t thrilled with Vin Diesel using the names of his late co-star Paul Walker and his children as a negotiating chip in order to get Dwayne Johnson to return to Fast & Furious.
