Susi Ganesan has directed a number of popular Tamil films. His directorial debut, ‘Thiruttu Payale,’ catapulted him to popularity, and he went on to make a sequel. Susi Ganesan’s next big-budget film, ‘Brave Queen,’ has been unveiled. Several celebrities, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, paid homage to Rani Velu Nachiyar on her birthday (Jan. 3), via their social media profiles. On Rani Velu Nachiyar, director Susi Ganesan announced the mega-budget film, using Narendra Modi’s tweet. He further stated that the film will depict the magnificence of Velu Nachiyar, the first queen in Indian history to battle and defeat the British forces.

However, the film’s cast and crew have yet to be revealed, and the picture is likely to be released in many languages. During the years 1780–1790, Rani Velu Nachiyar was the queen of the Sivagangai estate and the first Indian queen to wage war against the East India Company in India.
Susi Ganesan, meantime, has completed work on the Hindi version of his own Tamil film, ‘Thiruttu Payale 2,’ and will begin filming his new feature after this one is out.
